I was able to download a book last night through a reading app I have
connected to my Bookshare account. Im hoping the outage was a temporary
thing due to maintenance.

Yes, that happened to me a few minutes ago. I tried multiple times and at
least once I got a notice that it was not working and that they are working
to resolve the problem.
