Towering high above Vermont ski country, Mt. Mansfield's arctic crags have doomed many a soul but none more hideously than the man found stone-cold dead and frozen stiff, wedged into the mountain ice. This, Gunther's assignment as head of the new Vermont Bureau of Investigation, is a tough one.
