Yeah, I've had that happen to me too. Sorry, I don't know how to fix it but I can certainly commiserate with your frustration.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] stopping pages from automatically reading

Hi Gangs,

I've brought this subject up before but still haven't been able to cure it. I'm using the latest Kurzweil version and running windows xp with a meg of ram. So often while trying to check different pages in a scanned book it just takes off and I can't stop it from reading until it reaches the bottom of the page. This can be very time consuming when I'm checking a number of different pages. I haven't found any way of stopping it when it once starts on it's own. I'm using neo speech because I can't use dectalk which immediately crashes the computer the minute I try it. I used to be able to use dectalk without any problem, but for the past few months it has been impossible.

Any thoughts would certainly be appreciated.
Thanks.
