The Copper Scroll was a real bear to scan because of the fonts and text decorations used by the publisher. Shane did a very nice job of validating my scan. I do have Openbook but don't think I should evaluate the new version because I don't know that I'd be completely objective. I do know that our efforts resulted in a scan with an accuracy rate of 99.48 percent. I hope someone can make a decision on this one so the best copy of the book is in the collection.

Hi listers. Here's what I discovered when I went to the validation/download page for copper scroll. I don't think the user who submitted this book realized it was in the collection all ready, and that it is listed as excellent, almost no errors, while the newly submitted one is listed as good, some errors. The user's comments along with the date of submission follow.Date: 2007-08-02 19:36:56-07 User: Michael MartinHad trouble scanning / OCRing the book with OpenBook I may have lost some of the exact view pages, but the majority 95% of the book is fine.
