And I've been thinking recently of finding a way to scan the Russian
Krokodil humor newspapers I have. But, is doing that worth over $400?
But, boy that OpticPro scanner really is tempting.

The other choice is the Optic Pro. It has a much bigger scanning bed

The scanner is useful for scanning two pages at a time on even the
biggest books. All of the scanners mentioned are made by PlusTek.

Amazon should have it. There is a 4800 but it is $700 or so wheras the 3900
is approximately $250.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] questions about purchasing a new OpticBook
scanner
Hello to all, my name is Monica Svopa. I was writing to ask if anyone has
any recommendations as to which OpticBook scanner I should purchase? I
believe that's the brand I use to have, the OpticBook 3600. I currently
have a Windows 10 machine and do use Jaws as my screen reader. I'd
appreciate any recommendations you could provide. Are there any OpticBook
scanners you prefer over others?
Sincerely,
Monica
