Hi Chanelle,

This kind of use of pdf's to submit books to Bookshare is not permitted.
Sorry! We're supposed only to submit scanned copies of books.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] question about Bookshare regarding electronic
copies of books?

Dear Volunteer list,
The answer to this question might be no, but I thought that I would double
check. I found a free PDF version of a book online of which I already had
started scanning the print paperback version. The pagination between the PDF
book and the print book is exactly the same as far as I can see. I
accidentally lost or misplaced the print copy of my book in the process of
moving. Would it be legal for me to select the pages that I didn't scan from
the PDF and add them to the original file? The book is entitled Overcoming
Through Jesus: Embracing His Death and Receiving His Victorious Life by Bill
Liversidge. The following text appears at the top of each PDF page:

COPIED BY PERMISSION OF BILL LIVERSIDGE

CreativeMediaMinistries.Org

If I can't use the PDF version, I will buy the print book again at some
later point and rescan.

Chanelle
