Jill,
There's no automatic way of doing this with Kurzweil For those pages with
numbers at the bottom of the page--especially first page of a chapter, you
can just manually move the page number to the top and make it consistent
with other page numbers.

I should have asked this question a long time ago; would someone using K1000
tell me how to place page numbers when I have to move them from the bottom
of the page as sometimes happens with the beginning of a new chapter. If
there is some place in the manual that explains how to do this, just please
tell me where to look. I want these numbers to be in the same position on
the page with the header as the other page numbers are. I hope this is
