Hi Julia,

The long dash, or M-dash, is made y shift 6, which is the karet sign, followed
by the plus sign. Using that, you can get all of them doing a search and
replace.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] non keyboard character help please

  Hi List.
I'm working on a book and I need to know how to make a long dash, in
order to replace it with two dashes. I got some of them when proofing but I
forgot to replace them for part of the book.
Kellie gave me this great file that has nonkeyboard characters in it, and I
think the long dash is one of them, but now jaws twelve won't read some of
them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  thanks,
  Julia
