Actually the scanning process and ocr process can be done separately. It 
depends on the software you're using.

Hi,

Sorry, but you aren't clear.  You say you have a good scan of it but you're 
having trouble OCR'ing it.  First of all, there's no such word, and if there 
were, it means the same thing as scanning.  So what's going on?  Either you've 
scanned the book or you haven't.  Can you clarify?
