My experience has been that you will usually need to rescan a fair book; it is much easier than trying to fix up the book. But I do download the book to familiarize myself with its problems and to try to get the exact book. ----- Original Message ----- From: Amber Wallenstein To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, May 27, 2006 10:17 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] fixing up fair books Hi all: I really should be asleep but I just transferred all of my books from my old computer to my new one. thanks to bookshare, I have so many books that I will never get through, but I'll sure try! Anyway, I looked at Jake's fair books list. I forget the procedure. If I want to fix up a fair book, how do I do it? Do I download it from the site in DAISY, then translate it to RTF? I would like to tackle the fair books list. Thanks.
