IIf anyone ever wants an existing copy checked and posts it on this list, I
am volunteering to download and check the existing copy and post my findings
on this list or whatever is needed in that respect. I always download .brf
for reading purposes, but can and will download the daisy file if asked. I
can choose the HTML file, since I use a Braille display, and check it out.

That's a good point Jill. A validator should check that all pages are
present. I have a suggestion. Perhaps before deciding whether or not to
rescan a book because there's an excellent copy already on bookshare,
someone should check how excellent is the existing copy.
It has been my experience that not all excellent copies are created equal.

I'm glad Bookshare has agreed not to automatically replace excellent new
books on the list. However, I feel compelled to admit that when I compared
my submission of Prep and that done in office, much to my chagrin I found
early on that I had missed a page, so in this case it was a good thing that
the book was replaced. It also points to the fact that the validator didn't
do a careful enough job either, doesn't it? There is both a new book by
Elizabeth George and one by Martha Grimes; is there any chance that they
will be scanned in office? Jill
