Ann, I sent the directions to him already, actually to the list if curious.

It's one thing to be melancholy and one thing to be sophisticated, but when you get the two of them together in a way people can relate to, then I think you're on to something. You want the sophistication to lie in the purity of the sound, the beauty of the arrangements, and the quality of
the performances."-Trumpeter Chris Botti----

Hi all,

Well, hmmm, I'm not as familiar with the Pacmate as I ought to be, but if it can read Bookshare files, then downloading them shouldn't be too much
of a problem.

Can your friend get onto the Internet? Can he log into Bookshare? Can he choose a given book? If the answers to these questions are yes, then downloading shouldn't be a problem. You would press 'enter' on the DAISY or BRF link and follow the prompts in the Omney. Since it's modeled after a Windows machine, I would assume, you know what happens to people who assume, that you'd get the normal File Download Dialog. You would tab to 'save' and probably hit enter or the spacebar. Don't ask me where the little darling will decide to download the file to, That, I couldn't tell you without looking at the manual. That, indeed may be your best option. Download its manual and read about file downloading. However, it's probably straight forward. How difficult can it be. It's a computer,
well, hmmm, sort of.
