This probably is not the appropriate place to post this as it hasn't to do
with books or volunteering; but if someone is wiling to take the time to
respond you can write to me off list.
I know several of you have had cataract surgery; most , if I remember
were happy with the results but some were not. I've just had it done on
one eye and and I can see the TV better and read the captions; it hasn't
helped my reading print on the computer even with my computer glasses;
but I don't want the surgery on the second eye if I don't need it. I
can't drive anyway; is there any need for cataract replacement on 2 eyes?
I seem to remember something from the past about depth perception being
affected if one only has vision in one eye. As far as my computer is
concerned I'm happy to continue to enlarging the print; I haven't yet
tried walking with only the one eye being fixed; my husband made me wear my
tv glasses when when I walked ( before the surgery because he said I
wasn't seeing things properly( and he never let go of my arm, though I had
my cane in case I lost my balance and I was very careful where I stepped.
Any advice would be appreciated
