Hi Lisa,

Actually, it worked beautifully! I went back into OpenBook, exported the
file to Word, opened it in Word, saved it to RTF, and all was beautiful.

Bizarre, but good to know.

Thanks for the tip!

Lora

Hi, Laura.

I had that problem when I first started validating. There's a very easy fix
for it, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I believe I saved the
file as an MS Word file while in OB and then opened it in Word and saved it
again as an RTF file as soon as I verified that the funky characters were
gone.

I wish I could remember more accurately how I handled it. I do remember
that I was able to validate the file with no problem once it had been
converted properly.

If you want to release it, I can download it, find out what the fix is and
let you have it to validate.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Lisa
