I agree with you; the younger children's books have too many illustrations and captions, making scanning difficult, but the older children's and young adult ones are fun.

I love them, too. Well, not really children's
books--too many illustrations to describe--but young
adult books, and the older children's books, say
grades 4 - 6 and up. There are so many new ones since
my own were that age that I miss not having them.

Sometimes,  reading a children's book is good for
the soul and this book is
