You make it sound like it is not a problem for a sighted reader, Ann, but I
assure you it is the greatest barrier to someone with a learning disability as
it can totally derail their comprehension since in Bookshare it would be even
worse than the visual presentation of the print format. Running headers and
footers are freiendly to very few and a serious distraction or detriment to
many if not most Bookshare readers. I have Aspergers and they make me crazy
and totally lose my place when reading intently.

the stories begin. It breaks up of the flow of reading for those who want to
listen to the audio as well as for a Braille reader. The sighted can merely
block these things out when they read. We can't.
