Hi Valerie.

Your solution sounds like a good one. Sounds rather tedious, but the results will be appreciated.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Timelines across two pages

Need to pick a few brains...

Thanks to Jamie, I will be proofreading a Children's book, "Viking World, a Guide to 11th Century Scandinavia" and have a question/problem. Because it is a book about history there are periodically timelines across the bottom of two pages.

My question is how to preserve the integrity and concept of the timeline. My gut is to describe it all on the first page of the timeline, and have a note on the bottom of the second page about what was put on the first page, but I do not know if that is technically allowed since it is not a primarily graphic timeline. Although there is a picture that pans the length of the "timeline" above all of the comments, they are usually distinct text blocks.

Help! All comments and opinions are greatly appreciated!
