Hi, Valerie,

I recall sometime ago that volunteers were told that if a sidebar contained the
same words that were also used in the text of the book that we could delete the
sidebar.
I no longer have the email that gives that information but am sure I am correct.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Sidebar quotes

I am scanning a book, “Life Lifters” by Zig Ziglar and it has sidebar quotes
directly from the material on the pages and I am wondering if it is okay to
delete them since they are not true sidebars of distinct information. I was
thinking that was one of the cases where deleting text was allowed, especially
since it would take away from the reading flow, but I want to know before I
prep it for proofreading.

Thanks so much!

I talk, computer types, we both make mistakes. ;-)
