Hi all,

That's a lovely tribute, Amanda. I saw the announcement on Twitter before I saw it here, and I was going to forward the URL. I should have known that you'd post it here too.

Again, lovely tribute, and may God rest him.

Good morning, Bookshare Volunteers and Happy Friday!

In these crazy and uncertain times, we’re taking a pause this morning to honor Doug Maples, a long-time volunteer and Bookshare Champion, who passed away earlier this year. Whether you were well-acquainted with Doug or would just like to learn more about his exceptional life, we’re remembering him on the Bookshare Blog today.

Doug was a special man and we were honored to have him as a Bookshare Volunteer for so many years. All of our condolences and thoughts go to his wonderful wife, Valerie, who we are blessed to still have volunteering with us. Thank you, Valerie, for sharing such wonderful memories of Doug with me!

I hope everyone is safe and well,

Amanda Brown
