Hi Ann,

I sure hope you're sending this concern to the volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx email, and not just here. I'm not certain if anyone on the staff regularly reads email that's on this list, so I'd would send it to that email address, if you haven't already.

Hi all,

Well, as the old farmer's wife said, "If I knowed you was comin', I'd have baked a cake."

You nailed it on the head. If I had only known I would have written to Volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and probably gotten an answer. I rejected the book because I couldn't get the info I needed like chapter headings. Apparently, the chapter headings were graphics or something, so they didn't scan. So I had no idea except my best guess as to where they were supposed to go. Frustrating because there really wasn't much else wrong with the book.

It would be truly helpful if the volunteer coordinator would spend a little more time on this list, and be available to answer questions. What would be even more helpful is actually receiving a notification about such things instead of having to throw away perfectly good work through ignorance.

I guess I sound a bit frustrated, but really, a newsletter about once every three months is hardly communication with one's volunteers.

Twitter is available, so is facebook, so is this list. using it to remind volunteers that wish List scans are done by staff and if there are questions one should write to Volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx is vital information, IMO. <grrr> That was a good book, too. It was a star Trek book, and I was interested in it. <sigh>
