I agree that we should not be adding words to the book. That was not the issue. 
She said they were already in the book.

    Nobody ever said for certain whether the stripper would take out the word 
"page" or not. But I suspect it will, if it is consistently formatted. But 
perhaps it may make a difference that the word would be to the left of the page 
number on the left hand page. Then, maybe it will just strip the ones on the 
right hand page. Since the stripper does not always seem to be consistent 
itself, there may be no way of predicting what it will do.

the word page in front of the number and whether the header would strip that 
particular format.

      I am validating a book where the page number format is
      Page space number period

      This format is consistent on every page.  Will the stripper leave this 
alone?

      I thought I had kept the final outcome of this thread, but did not.
