Hi, Cindy and everyone! I will be playing various styles of contemporary
Christian music. Three nights a week (or afternoons, where you live), I'll
be playing adult contemporary or pop. One night will be praise and worship,
also contemporary. One night will be urban gospel. I'll be interviewing
artists, and there will be ways for me to give away CD's. It's called "The
Living Room," and I'm doing my best to make it fun.
If anyone on the list is a DJ, or if you've had any experience with on-line
radio, I'm going to need some help. For one thing, I've been using the CD
copying software that comes with Freedom Box to create MP3's. I love the
software's accessibility, and the MP3's always turn out great. However, the
process is quite slow. The other folks at the station will be using Winamp
and the ShoutCast software to create their playlists and play their songs on
the air. Is Winamp Pro accessible when it comes to creating MP3's? I
noticed that it seems to be pretty quick. With all the CD's I'm trying to
convert, I need something that will generate good-quality MP3's as quickly
as possible.
