Go to My Computer, hit 'enter' on it. You will get a list of drives there, among other things. Make sure you are on 'local disc c', then hit alt-enter to bring up the Properties dialog box. If you are using JAWS, use insert-b to read the dialog box, or you can use the JAWS cursor. If you are using some other speech software, I would imagine you would just use whatever keystroke combination you normally use to read a dialog box.

Evan, was it you telling how to find out how much space you have left on
Local Drive C? Whoever it was, I must have missed something because I can't
find how to do that on my Laptop.

Indeed, my K1000 demo disc should be here in the next day or two. I am not
happy with my OpenBook, and I will take advantage of the upgrade offer if
the demo works out as well as discussion on this list and Jake's excellent
article have indicated. No software is perfect, so I am aware that every
product, including K1000 will have bugs. But I have had more problems with
OB than any other software I have used, and I have used software since the
DOS days. I am looking forward to moving up.

AI notice the last few books of less than excellent quality are in arc
format. I know OB does not have rank spelling. I also know that anyone
having OB can save the file as an rtf before uploading and in fact has to
do so. I know there is a 30 day trial copy of k1000 folks can get to try.
Perhaps some folks who currently have OB might like to try it and
experience the usefulness of rank spelling used on an rtf file. That way,
you have a good tool for cleaning up those books as well as the kes ones.
You also may want to investigate the trade in k1000 has for OB users.
