Alternate Format Specialist
Office of Accessible Education – Division of Student Affairs
Grade: 3P1

The Office of Accessible Education (OAE), a department within the 
division of Student Affairs, is seeking an experienced Alternate Format 
Specialist to plan, prepare, and perform conversion of academic 
materials into alternate formats that can be accessed by students with 
print-based disabilities, including blindness/low-vision, learning 
disabilities, and mobility impairments.

S/he will prepare and convert course materials and other media into 
alternate formats, including Braille, tactile graphics, large print, and 
electronic text, using various hardware platforms and software solutions 
within the OAE. S/he will be the OAE’s in-house “expert” for 
transcription of alternate formats specific to students who are blind 
and/or low-vision.
