I added the books I proofed and the books I've scanned; the output is
only 57 books, in whole or part; but the variety is interesting and, if I
do say so myself, impressive: fiction, nonfiction, children's and teens';
lots of illustrations described, some tomes ( well over 500 pages with
footnotes); books unavailable elsewhere ( thanks to Larry who found a
wonderful but obscure historic fiction-- one of the best I've ever
read: *Lovely
wanton*) and one I found in my library's used-book store, *Eve's Diary*
by Mark Twain; that I just mentioned as one I recommend. Another I
recommend that you won't find anywhere else that is chilling in its own way
is *Address Unknown*: I think it was also made into a movie;
Not a large output ( it takes me a long time to proof partly because life
intervenes but also because I'm slow and careful and of course describing
illustrations ( with editing help from Susan lumpkin and some from Shelley
( when I made mistakes describing the ilustration in The Man Who Walked
Between the Towers;
over all, though my contribution as to quantity isn't as great, perhaps as
many, I'm proud of what I've done and feel that my life has been well
spent ( and I still have more books to proof in whatever years I have
left. smile
