Actually, didn't Jesse start the list concept? I think the first one I ever saw
was put out by him. Take care.

  Monica,

Marissa Mika was the last volunteer coordinator. She left last May to go off
to graduate school, but we've been told she'll be back at Bookshare for the
summer. I'm not sure if the list originated with Marissa, but I believe so.
It was originally a single list of every book in processing at the time the
list was geneerated, but it's been broken out into three lists now: one for the
books awaiting admin approval, one for books out for validation, and one for
books awaiting validation. It's essentially a snapshot of the books in
processing at the time the lists are generated. They are helpful because they
let you determine if a book is already in processing and doesn't need to be
scanned.

Hello. I'd like to ask a question. Why do they call it Mariss's list and
what is it's purpose. I wasn't around when the list was first created and I'm
thinking it's named Marissa because she create it? Thanks.

    Hi all,

The May 26th edition of Marissa's List is now available at a new
location.

    http://www.jbrownell.com/bks/ml.asp

Note that there are only approx. 65 books in the admin queue, and 10 of
them have been approved since the list was generated!

    Jake
