Hi Natalie, and welcome back.Yes indeed read the manual thingy. You may find that the rules and suggestions have changed a bit in a couple of years.
I don't know which book you got, but would suggest you start out with a fairly small book--maybe one of the children's books.
Don't know about a Mac, it should be okay. Is there anyone else here using a Mac? I seem to remember that Cindy Rosenthal uses a Mac. Maybe other Mac users can give you some advice concerning its quirks and foibles.
Anyway, welcome back and rule number 1: "have fun!" Bob----- Original Message ----- From: "Natalie" <braillereader@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi everyone,As the subject says, I am kind of new to volunteering for Bookshare. I proofread a couple of books a couple of years ago and then got out of doing it because life kind of got in the way but want to get back into doing it again. I know there are probably a lot of things that have changed since I last did it so need to go read the volunteer manual thing. I just checked out a book to start proofreading after I read some of the manual, but before I do all of that, I am using a Mac, so I am assuming that as long as I save in rtf it shouldn't matter if I am using a Mac or pc right? Thanks for any help and suggestions.Natalie To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxput the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
