Did you ask John Glass this question?

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] International volunteers

I just found out that all three of the people who told
me they wanted to volunteer for Bookshare as validators
won't be allowed to. One is in India and two are in
Okinawa. They were the three people who jumped at the
chance. But John Glass told the woman in India that
Bookshare can't use volunteers from outside the US.

Why ever not? This is virtual volunteering, very
suited for global olunteers.

I feel embarrassed for my friends.

Be ye well,

Nan Hawthorne
