[bksvol-discuss] How do I get rid of the floating toolbar?

I do hope someone can and will tell me how to get rid of that menu bar that
suddenly pops up in the middle of a page when reading line by line in MS Word
2003. I used it for a long time without encountering that, but I've apparently
managed to get a setting changed, and don't know how to fix it!
