Well, I didn’t think about humming “Grandma got run over by a reindeer”, but
when you mentioned it, I gave my biggest smile of the day so far!

Dear Valerie, Doug, Chris and all of my Booksharian Friends,
A warm and Sincere Happy New Year to you! I love this group and wish we
e-chatted more.
Is anyone interested in trying to proof or scan at least one more book in 2018
than you did in 2017? It isn’t about the numbers but they can be fun and
motivating.
I’m a failed Santa because when I walked up my neighbor’s driveway to deliver a
package that was plunked in our mailbox by mistake on the Wednesday before
Christmas, as my cane touched the back of his car he backed up, knocking my
cane and rolerator far away and landing me on my back after I bounced off my
right hand, first. I truly thought I was going to be crushed and killed. I was
so lucky that he stopped and other than aches and pains, the worst that
happened was that I have a badly sprained right hand. The shower I took today
felt more like water torture and typing this is slow and ouchy. Mainly my thumb
and wrist don’t work yet and a splint mostly keeps me from gritting my teeth.
I’m improving but I miss reading braille, knitting and, of course,
proofreading. Also Evan and I miss me cooking. Patience and time should have me
all better.
If any of you are humming “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer,” I’ll know!!!
