Thank you Mary. I will do a check, pardon the pun, on this. The last time I searched for the email from someone I released the book and checked for it and then re-downloaded the book which is rather an involved process.

Hi Reggie,

I think you can see the history of a book from your checked out books
page. Also, if not there, you can definitely see it on the "books in
processing" page.

Happy proofreading.

Mayrie

I agree. Thank you Pavi. Now, a question. If I have downloaded a book,
need help, and want to contact the submitter where do I find that info on
the new site? Do I have to send the book back to the check out a book list
and then look at the book history or is there another way? Thanks.
Reggie

Thanks, Pavi. I'm glad to know we have so many good and caring submitters. I remember reading so many complaints that proofreaders couldn't get in touch
with submitters, and seeing requests on the volunteer and bookshare lists
for the submitter to contact a proofer, and requests for you or Carie to get
in touch with a submitter for the proofer. I'm glad the situation has
improved.

Hi All,

Happy Friday! Just wanted to
throw a reminder to volunteer
proofreaders to remember to check for submitter contact info when you
run into trouble (for instance a missing page etc) while proofreading
a book. Often times those of you who submit books will add a note to
the proofreader with your contact information in the comments field.
As a proofreader, before rejecting a book on grounds that could be
addressed by the submitter please do check for that info and get in
touch with the person before rejecting the book. As a submitter it can
be a little disheartening to find your book rejected on the basis of
something you would have been happy to help fix had you been alerted
ahead of time.

Just a relayed request on
behalf of the many sincere submitters
we are fortunate to have among us! (smile).

Have a wonderful
weekend.

Pavi
