Thanks to all of you. Valerie put in a lot of work scanning this. It was a
tough book!

I agree with Charisma. It does sound like an interesting book; wasn't it Mark
Twain who wrote, with Grant, his biography? Or amI mixing both or either
general/president or author up

I thought some of these might be interested in this book because it is a
biological account of Ulysses S Grant written by his wife, Juliet Dent
Grant, who is an ancestor of mine.. If there is anyone who likes to read
about the Civil War or anything in American history, you may enjoy this. I
will say that I enjoyed the book as long as it was between the general and
his wife during the Civil War. There were several chapters after that that
recounted what they did after he had finished his presidency. Some of you
may enjoy that, but to me it was there travel guide and history of traveling
around the world.
Valerie and I did this book because of my relations to the family, but I do
think that it could be interesting to a number of people. Not that I was a
great big fan of Gen./president Grant, but more for my ancestry. It turned
out to be better than that.
