Hi Cindy,
Books on the checkout list stay until someone takes them to proofread.
If the book has a hold for someone else, it’s up to staff to decide what to do
with it—remove the hold or contact the person for whom the book is being held
to see why they haven’t picked it up yet.

What happens to books that are on the checkout list untaken for a few
months? The ones I'm interested in have been there for 3 months;
