The real trouble didn't start until Connor began kindergarten. The notes started coming home with Connor on his very first day. They said things like: "Does not play well with others/' "Is disruptive in class," and "Teacher requests conference with parents." Every day that Connor brought home another note-which was most days-his parents looked a little grayer and a little more tired. Connor couldn't seem to sit still or pay attention; and all too often, his impulsiveness led to inappropriate behavior.
