G. Cindy, a BSO of The Truth Machine by James L. Halperin. The copy in there
is only fairish, and lots of junko pages before the story starts. Enough
errors that after I looked at it, I decided it wasn't worth my reading
time... Also would like a copy of his second book, The Prospect of
Immortality. (I scanned and read both way back when, pre-Bookshare, and lost
the scans in a computer crash. Also, there are 14 Kate Wilheims "in stock"
at BS, but not one of my faves, "Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang." All are
sci fi, and Halperin's are both high tech-focused. (Unfortunately, no known
relation unless offshoots back when 10 brothers came over from Russia and
spread across the country. He and I checked. Geeky, wish I could claim him
as a cousin!)
