I like historical fiction books. If no one else wants to proof this
series. I'm willing ( if I live long enough (I'm 81) But I'm very slow and
I have to finish 5 before I even start. I'm almost finished with one,
should get it checked in a day or 2.
If no one else offers or takes them once you've submitted them let me
know . You may have to remind me about them ( you say it's a 6-book series
If I can't find them in either of my library systems ( or university
libraries -- maybe we'll be lucky and they're there. 'll check What's the
edition and date of publication) you'd have to mail me the books
I'll look for "Government" now and let you know off list

The thing with the current B. Traven book, "Government", is that it's the
first of a six-part historical fiction epic describing the 1910 Mexican
revolution. Traven was a wonderful, wonderful writer, but I readily admit
that his plots move along v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. He was also a flaming
radical anarchist, who rejected Communism because he thought it was "too
weak". I own two of the six books, and would be willing to buy the other
four (since I haven't yet read them myself), but not if I'm the only one
who is going to benefit from doing so (they are long out of print and
consequently might be a bit pricey).
Perhaps I'm just being impatient. Waiting to see what happens won't be
too stressful.

I suppose you can't expect your tastes to match the tastes of other
volunteers. I submitted People versus Profits by Victor Perlo back on
December 30. Since that time one person checked it out and then released it
only a few minutes later. No one else has touched it. It makes me wish that
I had spent all the time I spent on that book with another book.
