What a book!

Thanks to Cindy for supplying missing pages!

I added a longer synopsis upon final step 2, and for anyone who wants to
read it, you can find it pasted here below. What a book! All 800 plus
pages. Okay, I haven't actually had time to read it all. But it did remind
me of things about stuff I supposedly learned about our nation's history.
Now when we are in some opinion's experiencing a constitutional crisis with
an administration who chooses which laws and when they need to be followed.
And all that, having just finished my scan and submission of the Kevin
Phillips current best seller, American Theocracy. Time for me to go read
something a bit lighter. Any recommendations?

Thanks, Bookshare!

FROM THE PUBLISHER
Ron Chernow, the renowned author of Titan whom the New York Times has
called"as elegant an architect of monumental histories as we've seen in
decades," vividly re-creates the whole sweep of Alexander Hamilton's
turbulent life-his exotic, brutal upbringing; his titanic feuds with
celebrated rivals; his pivotal role in defining the shape of the federal
government and the American economy; his shocking illicit romances; his
enlightened abolitionism; and his famous death in a duel with Aaron Burr in
July 1804. Drawing upon extensive, unparalleled research- including nearly
fifty previously undiscovered essays highlighting Hamilton's fiery
journalism as well as his revealing missives to colleagues and friends-this
biography of the extraordinarily gifted founding father who galvanized,
inspired, and scandalized the newborn nation is the work by which all others
will be measured.
Author Biography: Ron Chernow is the prizewinning author of four previous
books. His first, the House of Morgan, received the National Book Award. His
most recent, Titan, a biography of John D. Rockefeller, was a national
bestseller and a National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist, and was named
by both Time magazine and The New York Times as one of the best books of the
year.
