Hi all,

I suppose I'm being awful, maybe I am, but folks, most of you, or at least a good many of the usual posters on here are writing to both lists, the general list and the volunteers list. this is all well and good, guys, but I woke up this morning to eighty-three messages in my inbox! Many of these posts were duplicate posts because they had been CC'ed to both lists. Could I make a plea for some restraint in this practice? Sometimes, a message does indeed need to be posted to both lists, but many times, general info about books and authors is also CC'ed to the Volunteers list. Sometimes questions from volunteers are posted to the general books discussion.

Now, I am *not* the list owner of either list, and I am most definitely not telling people how to post or what to post. You can call this a comment if you will. You can call it a polite request or a um, inquery as to the feasibility of a change in behavior on the part of some posters. Anyway, I hope I'm not out of line, but I'm err, ah, drowning in email here!! Help!!

Ann P.
