I stopped by a pond a couple of miles from home this morning - meant to circle it looking for Snipes. 3 Wilson's Snipes startled up as soon as I reached the water's edge and went back down further along the edge of the same pond - did not circle the pond after all. Maybe they will stay around a few days. I also saw a Golden-crowned Kinglet and a Pileated Woodpecker in a nearby woods.
