[birdky] Re: long-tailed ducks at Bernheim

The Long-tailed Ducks (Ben Yandell and I maintain that they were a figment
of Matt's imagination!), were not even still at Lake Nevin by about 10:00 on
Saturday morning, 2 1/2 hours after the initial observation :o(

Actually, it is quite possible that either someone walking the path around
the lake scared the birds, or they might not have been able to find food to
their liking.

Does anyone have any updated info, (whether there's any reason to believe
the
ducks might still be there today)? Thanks.

Matt Stickel called at 8 a.m. EDT to say that two long-tailed ducks are on
Lake Nevin, just inside the entrance to Bernheim Forest (near exit 112 of
I-65).
