I would’ve taken the snake to the barn but injured it when I knocked it from the hummer’s perch with a rake. Noticing the bulge in the snake’s abdomen, I cut it open to reveal a freshly swallowed RT hummer. Also noted: A beautiful male goldfinch doing his level best to keep a very demanding young cowbird fed….
