The warblers are arriving in force at Natural Bridge. I was with the Kentucky Native Plant Society so I wasn't really birding, but it's hard to miss hearing the racket. On Whittleton Trail there were multiple ovenbirds, black-throated greens, and Louisiana waterthrushes. On the Battleship Rock Trail a black-and-white landed within 5 feet of me on downed tree, and I heard Prairies, Wormies, Yellow throated vireos, and a Scarlet Tanager. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Zeb Weese Regional Nature Preserves Manager, Central and Eastern Kentucky Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission 801 Schenkel Lane Frankfort, KY 40601 Phone: (502) 573-2886, extension 118 Fax: (502) 573-2355 E-mail: zeb.weese@xxxxxx Web site: http://naturepreserves.ky.gov/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============= The BIRDKY Mailing List requires you to sign your messages with first & last name, city, & state abbreviation. -------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Kentucky Ornithological Society web site at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison, Richmond, KY E-mail: gary.ritchison@xxxxxxx
