Brian Wulker and I just had a phone conversation trying to figure out where all
the birds will be today.
If you take a look at radar estimate of precip for Louisville region at this
link:
https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=lvx&product=N0R&loop=no
there is about as dramatic a wall to spring bird migration as one could imagine
for late April in the central US. This wall extended well to the west and also
to the east. Winds south of the training WSW to ENE and W to E *all night*
storms were excellent for migration. Louisville was south of the rain early in
the night, but smack dab in the middle of it after 100 or 200 am.
It should be very interesting to see where folks have the best lists for both
songbirds and waterbirds today, both inside and outside of KY.
