I didn’t spend much time at the Sloughs Sauerheber Unit, due to the Deer Flies.
They are a constant bother and when they bite you know it.
The track out to the Sandpit at Pond Creek Marsh has been mowed. I did see two
River Otters there.
Shorebird Unit is mostly high weeds and lots of water.
Did not relocate the Black-necked Stilts.
Not much happening at Horseshoe Road slough, the soy bean fields had just been
sprayed; I’m sure that drove off some ducks and maybe the stilts.
The weather today was supposed to be better, the morning temperature was better
but it was still HHH.
