1/3/04 McCracken County The SPOTTED TOWHEE was heard several times; it flew across the road and sat up briefly for a nice look around 8 am cst. It then flew back across the road into the tangle. It called a couple of times; we didn't see or hear it again after that. 1/3/04 & 1/4/04 Fulton County LEAST SANDPIPER- 4 along the Midway road LAPLAND LONGSPUR- small numbers SNOW and GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE- thousands at Long Point, Reelfoot NWR ROSS'S GEESE at least 6 MALLARDS- thousands Also good numbers of NORTHERN PINTAIL, NORTHERN SHOVELER, AMERICAN WIGEON, GADWALL, GREEN-WINGED TEAL and at least 2 AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS. BALD EAGLES giving the waterfowl fits at Long Point.
