I live in Lansdowne subdivision in Lexington - a very urban neighborhood
with no significant wooded areas really close. I walked out of my front
door to put out my hummingbird feeder and was surprised to find a wild
turkey walking down the sidewalk, then down the driveway to my back
yard. After about 10 minutes it jumped over my back fence and wandered
off. I photographed it from distances of 20 to 40 feet and it did not
bother him at all. Two photos are in the eBird report. Needless to say,
a new yard bird for me.
