21 December 2003 I hit the Sloughs at dawn this morning. From the road it appeared that there were 17 or 18 Tundra Swans to the left of the road, observable from the third observation tower (where the Tundras have been hanging out this year). I assume they were Tundra Swans, they are a long way away using 8x32 Leicas. All I can tell is that they are Swan sized white birds.
