Shari and I were out at Paradise TVA, vicinity of S-2 high spot this evening at 5 pm, cst. Immediately observed several harriers, hovering and in nice low level flight only a few feet above the ground. By 5:15 pm we spotted our first short ear. Then another that flew within 100 ft. Later we drove the 3 mile loop and spotted a couple more short ears. So not positive we did not count the some of the same ones twice, but in 45 minutes we had 4 harriers and 4 short eared owls.
