I have just had a biggish hawk drying itself on a fence post outside my house.
I don't know how to upload to Flicker or other sites, but if anybody is willing
to help me identify this bird, I'd be happy to email you the pict for your
ideas. (pasting picts in this msg in case anybody can see)

I swear, I think it is a Swainson's hawk!  Perhaps due to the fallout that BPB
and others mentioned a few days ago because I read that a Swainson's hawk
wouldn't normally be here.  Neat big bird, whatever it may be!
