28 January 2005: This afternoon, I observed 16 Sandhill Cranes on the ground along the Johnson Young Road, in SW Logan County. They were adjacent too a good-sized wet transient pond where Brainard Palmer-Ball once showed me Barking Tree Frogs (I think that is what they were called) in corn stubble. Also observed on this drive were numerous uncounted Horned Larks and an immature male Northern Harrier. That concluded this report.
